From the 6th April 2011 the Government announced a number of significant changes affecting Income Drawdown, including the removal of the requirement for annuity purchase at age 75, the introduction of a new Flexible Drawdown without an income cap for those who can meet the “Minimum Income Requirement” and an increase in the lump sum tax rate on death.
